Wyvern Rising’s parent organization is rebranding!
Formerly known as The Wyvern Group, Alternate Reality Specialists, Inc, our organization is now known as Night Bees Productions Inc.
Wyvern Rising is a game which is now part of Night Bees Productions Inc, but was formerly a part of The Wyvern Group, Alternate Reality Specialists, Inc.
We are changing from a 501(c)(7), which is a social club, to a 501(c)(3), which is a nonprofit organization. Our decision to change from a social club to a nonprofit serves several purposes for our staff, directors, and players:
- We are no longer required to collect yearly dues and also to help remove limits when it comes to accepting or giving donations. Therefore, yearly dues are being discontinued.
- The change serves to provide a differentiator which separates our group from the name of our game, Wyvern Rising. From a brand perspective this would make it easier to separate our group from the actual names of our games, should we choose to add new events to our portfolio of live action role-playing experiences. At this time, we have no plans to add any new live action role-playing games into our portfolio or to bring any games back from retirement. Should this change in the future, we will definitely let you know.
- This change gives us the opportunity to more easily explore running events at venues outside of Hickory Run. Our tax reporting and documentation formerly hindered this process, but this change has helped to make this more possible. At this time, we have no plans to run any events outside of Hickory Run. Should this change in the future, we will definitely let you know.
For our community members and players, this name change won’t impact anything for your game play. Generally it is important for you to be aware of this, should you see references to Night Bees Productions Inc on any documentation (such as our Liability Waivers) or our website.
